Student-Centered Syllabus
Below is an example of a student-centered syllabus that I created for a previous class of mine. This class was comprised of eighteen intermediate-level English language learners and lasted six weeks. The course was broken into six thematic units with ten lessons per unit. The class met twice a day, Monday through Friday, with the lessons being eighty minutes each. Within each unit were specific objectives that covered the four major topics: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Additionally, there were two grammar and two vocabulary focuses per unit.
